Sustainability and Sound Environmental Practice
RJGD is committed to designing, developing and operating golf facilities that are sustainable and in compliance with recognised environmental good practice.
Golf courses are subject to ever-increasing environmental scrutiny at all stages of planning, development and operation. At the planning and developmental stage this usually involves Environmental Impact Statements and Assessments, as well as submissions on the sources and volumes of irrigation water, and nutrients that will be used to establish, maintain and operate the golf facility.
RJGD works in compliance with recognised environmental good practice, and actively encourages developers to adopt and implement environmental guidelines and policies as specified by bodies such as the Golf Environment Organisation and Audubon International. Using the appropriate guidelines, and in conjunction with expert environmental advisors, RJGD will design the golf course and associated golf facilities in a manner that includes appropriate environmental protection measures, and features that will enhance the landscape and promote bio-diversity.
